Bay Of Fires Camping Tasmania

Gorgeous beach at The Gardens, Bay Of Fires

If you’re planning to camp at the Bay of Fires instead of staying in a holiday home or hotel, then you’re in luck as camping is plentiful. This conservation area offers free beach-side camping at designated spots along the coastline.

It must be one of the best locations in the world to camp, waking up to the beautiful Bay of Fires. It can get busy over peak summer periods, however.

You can camp in both the northern and southern parts of the bay, but it’s important to remember that you’ll need to apply for a National Parks pass when you go far up north. If you want to venture past Ansons Bridge, you’ll hit Mount William National Park which will require the park pass.

Also, if you want to make a campfire, be sure to check that there isn’t a seasonal fire ban.
